Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book an appointment?

Please contact Danielle or Laura on our Reception Desk by calling 03 9344 5077.

Will my GP receive correspondence about my appointment and/or treatment?

Dr Pagano will send written correspondence to your referring GP. They will be notified of any diagnosis, treatment and follow up recommendations.

If I require a procedure in hospital, where and when will this be performed?

Dr Pagano has a weekly operating list here at Frances Perry House. A full estimate of fees will be provided to you and you will be asked to sign a financial and procedure consent form.  If you do not have private health insurance and still wish to proceed with surgery through the private system, you will be provided with a quote from the hospital. Your procedure can be booked within a couple of weeks after your appointment.

Do I need a referral to see Dr Pagano?

Yes. A valid GP or Specialist referral also entitles you to a Medicare rebate. Most GP referrals will last for 12 months unless otherwise specified. Specialist referrals only last for 3 months.

What happens if I have my period on the day of my consultation?

This depends upon the reason for your consultation. Some procedures such as a cervical screening test or colposcopy cannot be performed if you are menstruating. (Particularly on day 2-3). However, for other conditions having your period is not an issue. Please contact our Reception if you require clarification.

Will I be able to get a Medical Certificate to attend my appointment / procedure on the day?

Dr Pagano can provide a signed Medical Certificate during your appointment for yourself and/or support person if required.
